This issue of Kentucky: By The Numbers is in conjunction with the Kentucky Extension Military Collaborative. With funding from the UK Engage initiative, the Kentucky Extension Military Collaborative is designed to increase awareness of the University's military engagement across the Commonwealth through developing a multidisciplinary statewide collaborative. These data are from “Measuring Communities: Mapping Progress for Military & Veteran Families” (https://www.measuringcommunities.org). “Measuring Communities” is part of the Military Family Research Institute (https://www.mfri.purdue.edu) at Purdue University. Its “online social indicators project” combines data from the Department of Defense (DOD) with data from other sources including the American Community Survey.
