2005 Housing Update

This issue of Kentucky: By the Numbers focuses on housing changes since the 2000 decennial Census.

These estimates are produced annually and use existing Census 2000 counts and administrative records such as building permits.

Nationwide, the housing estimate for July 1, 2005 increased an estimated 1.5% in total number of housing units from July 1, 2004.
