Poverty 2000 Change Update
Each year, the Census Bureau releases poverty estimates for the nation and for each of the states. County level information, however, is produced less frequently. While some estimates for counties are now produced every few years, the decennial Census remains the most comprehensive source for information on poverty at the county level.
This is one of a series of several profiles produced by “Kentucky: By the Numbers” examining different aspects of poverty at the county level in Kentucky.
This first data sheet compares county level data on poverty from the newest 2000 Census with data from the last 1990 Census.
