Age Groups 2011 Population Estimates

Age Groups 2011 Population Estimates

For the years in between Decennial Censuses (conducted every 10 years), the U.S. Census Bureau produces official population estimates.

Using data such as the number of births, deaths, and other records, the Census Bureau produces official estimates of the total population, population by age, sex, race/ethnicity, and the estimated change due to births, deaths, and net migration.

This issue of Kentucky: By The Numbers provides the current 2011 population estimates (April 1, 2010-July 1, 2011) for selected age groups.

While the American Community Survey includes population figures, they are NOT the official counts. To find the official population counts for your county, always use the Population Estimates or the 2010 Census.
